2015 Silver State Stampede Results
PRCA Rodeo
PRCA event winners each receive a set of Garcia spurs. The 2015 Stampede paid out a record-breaking $56,000 in prize money, nearly $16,000 more than last year. Stock Contractor was Kirby’s Bar T Rodeo of Chester, UT. Silver State Stampede Grand Marshal was Nelo Mori, 91 years old.

BAREBACK RIDING Sponsored By Vogue Laundry
PRCA cowboy George Gillespie of Placerville, Utah, won the bareback riding “Red Ears,” scoring 82 points and collecting $2,262.
Elko cowboy Bryan Jones split second place with an 81-point ride winning $1,508.
STEER WRESTLING Sponsored By Gallagher Ford
Riley Butler from Blackfoot, Idaho, won the steer wrestling title, in 4.5 seconds and earned $1,295.
TEAM ROPING Sponsored By Jm Capriola Co & Hackworth Drilling
Nick Kalivas of Farson, Wyoming, and R.D. Abplanalp from Ogden, Utah, won the team roping, roping their steer in 5.3 seconds and wining $1,990 apiece.
Pete Jones of Twin Falls, Idaho, and partner Jace Nielsen of Layton, Utah, won second place with a time of 5.8 seconds, earning $1,647.
SADDLE BRONC RIDING Sponsored By Dodge Ram
Allen Boore of Axtell, Utah, won first place in the saddle bronc riding, earning 82 points on “Miss Perception” for a purse of $2,480. Saddle bronc winner also receives $1,000 donated by the late Bill Maupin. This is the third year for the donation, and it's set for 10 years.
Paradise Valley’s Joe Harper split fifth place with a 79-point ride and earned $497.
Ryan Mackenzie of Jordan Valley, Oregon, scored 78 points on his re-ride horse and tied for sixth place, $290.
TIE DOWN ROPING Sponsored By Newmont
Justin Brinkerhoff of Corinee, Utah, won the tie-down roping in 8.2 seconds.
Cy Eames of Gooding, Idaho, won second place — finishing with a nine-flat. Eames collected $1,173.
BARREL RACING Sponsored By KRJC
Andrea Jones of Twin Falls won the barrel race with a time 16.48 seconds, earning $1,028.
BULL RIDING Sponsored By Barrick
Only four cowboys scored in the bull riding.
Casey White of Weiser, Idaho, riding “Clyde,” earned 82 points and the largest check of any event of the Silver State Stampede,$2,538.
Ardie Maier of Timber Lake, South Dakota, placed second with a 77, also riding “Clyde.” Maier won $1,946.
Jeremy Jex of Spanish Fork, Utah placed third with a 67, earning $1,438.
Blaine Tibbals of Yerington scored 60 points on “Black Bird” winning fourth place and $931.
K.C. Jones of Ralston, Wyoming, took the All-around Cowboy title – competing in the team roping and tie-down roping. He earned $961 from his 6.3-second team roping run, heeling for partner Wes Pulham of Midway, Utah.
Old West Bronc Riding
Stock Saddle Bronc Rider Cole Estill of Gerlach earned the highest total score for two rides in the Old West Bronc riding. Estill won the first round with a 78-point ride Thursday night and scored 77 points Saturday, finishing with a two-horse total of 155. Estill won $314 for winning the first round, $114 for splitting third and fourth in the second round and $912 for winning the average.
He also receives a buckle sponsored by Skyline Silversmiths and the SSSA, a pair of Garcia spurs donated by JM Capriola, and a bedroll quilt donated by Timmy Lyn DeLong.
Owyhee’s Dalton Jim scored 79 points Saturday, tying for first place in the second round with Drew Elsner of Charleston, who made a 79-point ride Friday. Jim and Elsner each won $266 for winning the round.
Jake Tervort and Elsner won $570 each for splitting second and third in the average. Paul Padilla won fourth in the average, and collected $228.
Bucking horses for the Old West Bronc Riding were provided by Wally and Teola Blossom of Owyhee.
